POS software for shops and supermarkets in Egypt

AIFFICIENTO is an AI-powered retail POS for shops across Egypt, built for grocers, supermarkets, pharmacies and clothing stores in Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Mansoura and beyond. Selling keeps working when the connection drops, and your data stays on the shop's own PC. ETA e-invoicing and e-receipts are configured on request for your registration.

Made for Egypt

Local from the first bill.

Egyptian pound with piasters

The till uses EGP with two decimal places, so a total such as 12.50 EGP prints exactly as you expect on the receipt.

VAT and tax registration numbers

Set VAT per product, switch between tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive pricing, and store your tax registration number on invoices.

ETA e-receipts and e-invoices

Consumer sales can be issued as ETA e-receipts and business sales as e-invoices. The connection is configured on request for your registration and tested by our team.

Vodafone Cash, InstaPay and Fawry

Split one bill across cash, card, Vodafone Cash, InstaPay, Fawry and customer credit. Each wallet is a payment label you name in settings.

Arabic item names on receipts

Store the Arabic name of each product and print it on the receipt. The software interface is in English.

Selling during outages

Cashiers keep billing during power or internet cuts. Offline sales queue on the shop network and sync to the cloud when the connection returns.

Egyptian retail runs on a dense network of small shops. The baqala on the corner, the branch of a supermarket chain, the mall and the wholesale market all compete for the same customers. In Cairo, Ataba and the Mousky market around it are long-standing centres of wholesale and retail trade across many categories. Nasr City and Heliopolis host large supermarkets, while Mohandessin and Maadi have boutiques and specialist food shops. In Alexandria, Mansheya and Raml have older trading traditions.

Many shop owners keep a notebook of regular customers who buy on credit and pay later. Prices move often when exchange rates change, so bulk price updates save a lot of time compared with editing each item by hand. Customers pay in cash, by card, or through mobile wallets such as Vodafone Cash and InstaPay. Owners want to see which products sell slowly, which suppliers they still owe, and which customers are behind on payments.

Power cuts and unstable internet still affect some areas, so the till has to keep working without a live connection. A server PC with terminals on the shop network handles this, and owners can check sales from their phone when they are away from the counter.

Tax & e-invoicing

Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA)

ETA e-invoicing and e-receipts

VAT and ETA e-invoicing

Egypt applies VAT, and the Egyptian Tax Authority runs e-invoicing through the ETA platform. Sales to businesses use e-invoices, while sales to consumers use e-receipts, which follow a different document format. Which documents apply to you depends on your registration and activity, so confirm the current rules with the ETA or your accountant before you go live.

AIFFICIENTO records VAT on every sale and purchase, and you can export sales and purchase reports to CSV for your accountant.

For ETA integration, open Settings, then Store, and use Request integration. Our team configures and tests the connection for your registration.

AIFFICIENTO is not certified or approved by the Egyptian Tax Authority. The connection goes live only when your registration and the ETA rules allow it.

Choosing a POS in Egypt

Egyptian shops choose from a basic cash register, a spreadsheet, an accounting package, a general ERP, or a retail POS with local tax support. Arabic-first ERP suites, and international ERP platforms with Egypt localisation modules, are common choices for larger businesses. When you compare options, test four things in a demo with your own products: whether it keeps working when the internet is down, how it prints Arabic receipts, how it handles e-receipts and e-invoices for your registration, and how quickly a new cashier learns the counter. Ask each vendor, in writing, which ETA document types it supports and who maintains the connection after a platform change. Compare the total monthly cost, including hardware, support and add-on modules. You can also review our plans and prices.

POS in Egypt: FAQs

How much is AIFFICIENTO in Egypt?
The Starter plan is EGP 299 per branch per month. Growth is EGP 749 and Business is EGP 1,499 per branch per month. Yearly billing gives two months free.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. You get a 30-day free trial with full access to every feature. No credit card is needed to start.
Does the POS work when the power or internet goes down?
Selling works on the shop network with the server PC inside your shop, so an internet drop does not stop the counter. A power backup for the server PC, such as a UPS, is a hardware choice you make for your shop.
Does it issue ETA e-receipts and e-invoices?
AIFFICIENTO can be connected to the ETA system on request, for the e-receipts and e-invoices that match your registration. Our team configures and tests the connection. We do not claim certification or approval from the Egyptian Tax Authority.
Can I track customer credit and supplier payments?
Yes. Customer accounts track credit limits, payments received and statements. Supplier payables and payments are tracked in purchasing, so you can see what you owe and what is owed to you.
Can I print Arabic product names on receipts?
Yes. Store an Arabic name for each product and print it on the receipt. The software interface itself is in English.
Can I run several branches?
Yes, on the Business plan. It is priced per branch and supports multi-branch management with unlimited counters.
