IQD POS software · Iraq

POS software for shops and supermarkets in Iraq

AIFFICIENTO is an AI-powered retail POS for shops across Iraq, for every size of business from a neighbourhood grocer to a supermarket, in Baghdad, Erbil, Basra and Sulaymaniyah. Selling keeps working when the connection drops, and your data stays on the shop's own PC. The till is set to whole dinars, the way most shops price in practice.

Made for Iraq

Local from the first bill.

Dinar in whole numbers

Set the currency to zero decimal places, the way most shops write dinar prices, so totals show whole dinars.

Bulk price changes

When dollar-quoted supplier prices move, update your shelf prices in one step with bulk price changes, instead of editing each item.

Arabic and Kurdish item names

Store a second-language name for each product, in Arabic or Kurdish. Print a test receipt on your printer before you go live, because font support depends on the printer.

ZainCash, FastPay and Qi Card

Split one bill across cash, card, ZainCash, FastPay, Qi Card and customer credit. Each method is a payment label you name in settings.

Customer credit

Keep a ledger of regular customers with credit limits, payments received and statements for each account.

Billing without internet

Cashiers keep billing during power or internet cuts. The shop PC holds the data, and sales sync when the connection returns.

Retail in Iraq is shaped by its cities. Baghdad has large commercial streets and markets. Shorja is known for wholesale and retail trade in household goods, hardware, electronics and clothing. Karrada has shopping streets, cafés and malls that draw families in the evening, and Al-Mutanabbi Street is famous for books and stationery. Basra depends on its port and on markets such as Ashar and Al-Maqal. Erbil and Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region have busy bazaars and modern shopping streets, and shop owners there often serve both Arabic and Kurdish speakers.

Most sales are still in cash. Dinar prices are written in whole numbers, while many importers and wholesalers quote in US dollars, so supplier price changes need careful tracking. Family-run grocers often extend credit to regular customers and keep a ledger of what is owed. Owners want stock counts, supplier payments and a daily sales view they can check on their phones.

Power supply and internet quality still vary from area to area, so the counter must keep working without a live connection. A shop PC acts as the server, and each counter stays in service during an outage.

Tax and invoicing

Iraq's tax rules for retail are less standardised than in the Gulf or North Africa. We are not aware of a national retail e-invoicing system in force for shops. Tax obligations depend on each business's registration, activity and the General Commission for Taxes, so confirm your current duties with the commission or a local accountant before you set up tax fields.

AIFFICIENTO keeps sales, purchases, customer credit and supplier payments in one place. You can export reports to CSV so your accountant can prepare returns.

If your business needs a tax or invoicing connection later, request it under Settings, then Store, using Request integration. Our team reviews the requirement with you and configures the connection only if the rules and your registration allow it.

AIFFICIENTO is not certified or approved by any Iraqi authority.

Choosing a POS in Iraq

Public information about local POS brands in Iraq is limited, so start with a short list and test each option yourself. Shops commonly use a basic cash register, a spreadsheet, a general accounting package, or an international POS platform with an Arabic interface. When you compare options, check these points in a demo with your own products: whether it can run a full shift without internet, how it prints Arabic and Kurdish names on your printer, how it handles dinar prices with no decimals, and whether a local partner supports it. Ask about backups and how a restore works. Compare the total cost over a year, including hardware, support and any setup fee. You can also see our plans and prices.

Is there a free trial?
Yes. You get a 30-day free trial with full access to every feature. No credit card is needed to start.

Does it support dinar prices with no decimals?

Can it print Kurdish item names?
You can store a Kurdish or Arabic name for each product. Print a test receipt on your printer first, because font support depends on the printer.

We are not aware of a national e-invoicing system in force for shops. If your business needs a connection, request it under Settings, then Store, and our team will review it with you.
Can I manage several branches?
Yes, on the Business plan. It is priced per branch and includes unlimited counters and multi-branch management.
