A pharmacy lives on accurate stock and on dates. The aim of a good setup is simple: know what you have, know when it expires and never be caught without a fast seller.

Setup checklist

  1. Install the server on the shop PC and add the counter as a terminal. Keep the server on a machine that stays on during opening hours.
  2. Import your medicine and item list from Excel or CSV. Check barcodes, units and cost price on every row.
  3. Enter the MRP on each product, so the printed price matches the packet.
  4. Record the expiry date for every batch as you receive stock. Do not skip it on small deliveries.
  5. Set reorder levels for your fast sellers.
  6. Set credit limits for regular customers who buy on account.
  7. Create roles for the cashier, the pharmacist and the manager. Use PIN quick sign-in and idle auto-lock.
  8. Test the full cycle: receive a delivery with expiry dates, sell with split payment, process a return, then open expiry watch.

Questions, answered

Does it track expiry dates?
Yes. You enter an expiry date for each received batch, and expiry watch lists stock that is close to its date.
Does it handle prescriptions or controlled drugs?
Prescription registers and controlled-drug logs are not listed as features. Keep those records as your local rules require, and check with our team before you rely on the software for them.
Can I bill with a barcode scanner?
Yes. USB barcode scanners work at the counter, and you can also use the touch layout for items without a barcode.
Can Geto read a supplier bill from a photo?
Yes. Photograph a printed or handwritten bill, and Geto drafts a purchase for you to review. Geto needs internet and an AI allowance. The Growth plan has a larger allowance that includes bill and product scanning.
Does the pharmacy need internet to sell?
No. Selling works without internet. Sales are queued and sync automatically when the connection comes back.
Can I try it before I pay?
